Diligo- there’s something in this for you too!

So you should know by now that I have a slight shopping addiction, and I especially like online shopping because a) its convenient and b) you won’t see the dress you just bought from Edgars on 5 other people in the office.
I will admit that when buying from websites in the UK (like http://www.asos.com/) I have had some misses where things just don’t fit like I thought they would, but usually this can be sorted out at a tailor.
You won’t have this problem if you buy from an SA website, as returning an item is much less of a logistical nightmare. However, the online shopping market in SA is small. Some websites offer the same stock that is sold in stores for a higher price.
My favourite SA online store to shop at is Diligo.  I’ve bought 2 dresses from them and they were both affordable, unique and great quality.
What you need to know about Diligo:
  • Delivery is free!
  • If you’re worried about sizing, check out the sizing guide on the site. It is pretty accurate. Or, you can chat online with a Diligo representative who will answer every single question you have. (I had a 20 min chat online on the length of a dress :P)
  • Diligo does accept returns. You’ll have to pay for postage to return the item, but once they receive it you’ll get a full credit note to use on their site within 12 months.
  • Lots of people are iffy about using their credit cards online. I don’t get why- it’s the way forward! Anyway, Diligo does accept EFTs as another payment method.
Diligo has just launched their Autumn collection and I think it’s fabulous! I especially love this colour block shirt- I bought a similar one in lime green and cream a week or 2 ago from Jo Borkett for R495 🙁 There’s are only R385 AND if you hurry you can use one of 20 R50 vouchers especially for my readers, so you’ll get it for R335. Read on to see how to get this voucher.

Cream & black colour block shirt - Limited Edition

Love the black and white look! I have high waisted pants and a tuxedo jacket that would go so well with this…
Mauve & cream colour block shirt - Limited Edition

Black Ella polo neck longer length dress
Berry Orla pencil dress
And heart the above 2 pencil dresses – my favourite dress style 🙂

Everything in the Autumn collection is designed and produced in Cape Town. I recently realized that the co-owners, Lauren and Kimberly went to the same school as me in PE! Pretty cool 🙂
After returning from London, Lauren spotted a gap in the market for an online fashion retailer with a difference. She hooked up with longtime friend Kimberly, and Diligo was born. The word Diligo has Latin roots and means to love something and to hold it in high regard.
All the dresses are under R500 and the tops are under R400. The Autumn/Winter 2012 collection is made up of chic pencil dresses, flowing chiffon tops, limited edition colour block shirts and classic blazers. Expect modern classics in teal, berry and jewel tones made up in a selection of fabrics from medium weight to sheer.

Diligo has kindly offered to give away 20 x R50 vouchers for my readers- first come first serve!

The vouchers are valid from today until 16 April. Just enter the code AUTUMN upon checkout and R50 will be deducted from your order. Note that the code is case sensitive.

So, go to http://www.diligo.co.za/ now and share your favourite items/ purchases with me. Would love to see everyone’s picks!
