Soho has kindly offered to give away a Signature Mani/Pedi on this blog 🙂 Read on to find out what the winner will experience, as well as how to enter.
The owner from Soho is from NYC, and most of the shop’s products and fittings are sourced from NYC. I love their pedicure chairs, they heat up and massage you while you’re having your treatment. They even have a tray table for your laptop or tablet and a nook for your handbag!
In terms of a quick in/out mani and pedi, this is definitely the place to go. I’m not at all saying that the treatments are rushed, you’ll get a full hour long mani as well as pedi, but everything else is tailored to be convenient for the modern working woman who has to multitask and never has enough hours in the day.
Firstly, their opening hours. Now that I work in the CBD, it is impossible for me to take time out of my working day to have a beauty treatment. Fortunately. Soho is open 7 days a week, till 7pm Mon-Thurs, till 8pm Fri & Sat and till 5pm on Sundays. Tres convenient!
Secondly, they have free (fast) wifi in the store. So, if you work in the Sandton area and need to have an emergency pedi, you can take your laptop along and have a working lunch. I spent the duration of my pedi on Pinterest 🙂
After that, I had a lurvvvly foot massage and then it was time for the usual pushing back of cuticles, filing and painting.
The best part for me is those grey box like things at the back of the picture below- they’re hand drying stations! They’ve also got feet drying ones below. 5 mins in there and you’re good to go! No more desperately running back to the salon asking them to touch up your 1 nail which got smudged when you were looking for your keys. You can also see a plug point at the bottom right side of the picture. A therapist noticed that my Blackberry was flashing a yellow light (which is always the case), and offered me a charger to plug my phone into! Apparently they have chargers for every type of phone, how cool!
