Tasha’s le parc
Tasha’s is one of my favourite spots to have a meal at. The food is always of a high quality, service is good and ambiance is excellent. They’ve recently opened a branch in Hyde Park (where Santorini used to be) and I went TWICE last week- for dinner and breakfast.
As is normally the case, you’ll have to wait for a table. But no more standing around, they now have a lounge-type waiting area where you can sit comfortably.
They’ve made this Tasha’s a bit different from the others- this one is called “le parc”, which means the park in French, if you hadn’t already figured that out 😉 They’ve put trees among the tables, and created a Parisian sidewalk kind of feel. I think if anyone else had to try this it would have ended up looking Monte-like tacky, but I really like the vibe that’s resulted.
As you’d expect, there is a selection of yummy goodies that you can choose from. This Tasha’s is also a little different in that they’ve got a separate tea menu and you can pair a tea with a tart or cake for R53, not bad.
I was really pleased to see that the prices weren’t exorbitant, the bill for a 2 course meal for 2 people was around R220, most mains (excluding seafood) were priced at R60ish- so good value.
Try it out and let me know what you think 😉

Will definitely be trying it out at the next girls night out! You read me mind lady – was wondering how the new Tasha’s looked. Can’t wait to go. And its so much easier for me to post comments now that I don’t need to sign in with google. Your blog is certainly my staple. Haven’t seen a post about fashion week up?
