It’s a normal credit card (yes, I know every company out there is offering one), but the benefits of this one are amazeballs.
You pay R50 a month and you get:
– 2 free coffees a month from Woolies Cafe
– 1 free Taste magazine (you’ve already gotten your R50 back by now)
– UNLIMITED free online shopping for groceries
– 3% back on all Woolies purchases
– 1% back on all other purchases
So I use this as my primary credit card. I have another Discovery card, where you get 1% back on all purchases as well- so I do the following (as instructed by my clever friend Wisaal who comes up with loads of money saving ideas)
– EFT money into my Discovery credit card
– transfer money from my Discovery card to my Woolworths card (can be done at any Woolies store)
– use my Woolworths card as my primary credit card
Then I get cash back from Discovery AND Woolies!
The online shopping is fantastic, it saves me so much time. You order 24 hours in advance and it gets delivered to your door in a specified time slot. I usually plan what I’m making for supper the evening before, so as long as I order before midnight, my order is with me before I leave work the next day and I don’t have to stand in queues or end up buying double the amount of stuff I initially intended buying. They even deliver after hours and on weekends.
Also, you’re not restricted to one delivery address. So if I’m ordering stuff that’s quite heavy I get it delivered to my husband so that he can carry it 🙂 I also order goodies to get delivered to my parents in PE, and if you’d like to send a bunch of flowers to someone, you can even order that online as an alternative to using Netflorist- it’s much cheaper.
You get Woolies vouchers every quarter based on your spend- this quarter I got R559 back!
Can’t wait to go and see what new Winter stock they have, of course I won’t be using my voucher on groceries 🙂
Hope you all have a fab weekend.
PS. The Tip Top nails competition is closing at 3pm today, hurry!
PPS. Do you guys like my “rebranding”? I like that the blog is ABOUT Travel, Food, Fun- but I think the name Jozilicious has more of a “ring” to it. http://www.theboldcircle.com/ kindly sponsored my logo- how gorgeous is it!??!
