The Attic in Parkhurst
In Winter, we are often more tempted to go straight home and cook rather than venture out into the cold for a meal at a restaurant.
I’ve happened to find the ultimate in cosy warm dining- The Attic in Parkhurst.
I walked into a room that reminded me of someone’s home, with a fireplace burning in the corner. I usually don’t like rustic hotels, but I love rustic restaurants. The decor at the Attic is charming, without being tacky.

The food was also great, albeit a bit pricey. We had a Daddy’s Deals voucher, so we got a discount. I don’t know if I would go again and eat at full price. Mains are around R100, with starters and desserts priced at around R60. Also, there is more “exotic” stuff on the menu, which makes it difficult for me as I only eat chicken or seafood.
However, the food is presented beautifully and our waiter was fantastic.
This was hilarious, the table was kind of small and my menu touched the tea light candle on our table and caught alight! Oops 🙂 |
Crusted goats cheese and beetroot |
Warm mushroom salad- a bit too pungent for me |
Crab fettuccine- delicious! |

Yummy! I eat at all the same places here in CT – I really should venture out 😉 Thanks for the inspiration. SS
