High Tea at Country Living Cafe

I’ve heard so much about Country Living Cafe and have been wanting to check it out for a while. The fact that it’s situated in Bryanston Shopping Centre put me off, because the centre is quite dull and dreary. However, the cafe itself is absolutely lovely.
I went for high tea with the girls (priced at R160 pp), but I really want to go for breakfast soon.

If you read my post on high tea, you’ll know that this is something I do quite often (at the mercy of my hips). In terms of value, I definitely think Country Living is way up there.

The cafe is prettily decorated, (with Country Living furniture, of course). They’ve done really well by creating an airy, garden like space.

We had a group of 6 people and this was all for us.. plus there was an equivalent sized savoury stand!

The cafe closes at 4pm on a Saturday and at 2pm on Sunday, so it was a bit of a “rushed” high tea.. but I still think it’s definitely worth a visit. What is a tad annoying is that no one except the manager knows anything about the high tea offer, which makes it a bit problematic when you’re trying to change guest numbers or confirm dietary requirements. So make your life easier and ask to speak to the manager directly 🙂
