On Friday evening, we had dinner at Vasili’s, my favourite JHB North Portuguese Spot. Their peri peri chicken is to die for. Visit my Restaurant Directory for their contact details.
On Saturday, I was invited to a bridal shower. The invite said that it would be from 2pm-4pm and it was at the bride’s brother’s home, so you can’t blame me for thinking it would be “tame”. I was clearly very mistaken!
I arrived to a marquee set up with a pole in the middle and a cocktail bar alongside.
The bride was dressed as a playboy bunny and we had such fun learning how to pole dance!

|We all got a chance to try out the pole- this was me attempting to slide down it|
On Saturday, I went to dinner at Kream in Brooklyn. I’ll blog all about that tomorrow 🙂
Sunday was a beautiful day in Jozi and we really wanted to spend some time outdoors, so we picked up sushi from Real Sushi in Greenside and then took a drive to Zoo lake to munch on that with a
glass bottle of wine. I actually hated sushi before I did the sushi class at the Hilton, but now I have a new found love for it and even find myself craving it at times!
There was such a festive vibe at Zoo Lake and we spent a few hours there just reading and chilling.
|I am LOVING Grazia Mag right now. It’s just the right balance of frivolous and serious for me. I think it’s a great read- if you haven’t picked up your copy yet you really need to check it out!
After that we were feeling peckish again so we took a drive to Fordsburg for some chicken tikka. I think I need to do a whole separate post just about Fordsburg because it is a totally different experience to the food reviews I normally write, so watch this space for that… 😉
All in all a great weekend! 🙂
Hope yours was good too.
