This past Saturday, I hosted the third Jozilicious Mixer. I have to say, that I think this was the best one yet. Having been to tons of events myself, I know what I like to get out of an event, so I try to create this experience for my readers, as well as make them feel pampered and spoilt.
I also like to host the mixers at a different spot each season- this way, readers get to discover hidden gems of Jozi. The 3rd mixer was held at Rain Urban Boutique Spa in Rosebank, which I blogged about here. Readers got treated to manis, massages, hair and makeup, had snacks and drinks, walked away with a FAB goodie bag worth more than R1000 (think gift vouchers for Happy Me beverage mixologists, Enmasse Massage, Rain Boutique Spa, everythinghair.co.za, Roots at Forum Homini, plus a full size Revlon nail polish and lipstick, bottle of JC le Roux champagne, NoMU baking kit, Belle’s cupcake, Marmalade style cookie, Glad icecube bags AND Lays Deli chips.) Peeps also stood a chance to win awesome prizes, including a 6 course dinner for 2 at Forum Homini, CK sunglasses and a Pandora bracelet.
I also encourage networking, and so far, by the end of every mixer strangers have become friends. All my readers are generally quite like minded, so it really makes me happy to know that I’ve facilitated a new relationship- be it personal or business.
As for the next mixer, I’m targeting April – so watch this space! Tickets get sold out in a day, so if you want to come to the next one I strongly suggest you subscribe to blog posts (Click “home”, and then enter your email addy in the “subscribe” box on the top right hand side of the blog)
I’ve also had tons of people inquiring about mixers in Durban and CT, but I’m still considering this. If you’re a venue or a brand who wants to get involved, let me know!
Here are some snaps from the event. In terms of food, drinks, goodie bag contents and prizes, I worked with the best in the business- check them out at the bottom of this post.
This event would not have been possible (ok, it would have been, but it would have really sucked) without the help of these incredible brands and people. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
