Hair on the Go with

Until about a year ago, I used supermarket shampoo on my hair and thought split ends and dryness were normal. I got lambasted by my stylist, and then started using Davines which I LOVE. However, when I travel, I take minimal cosmetics (leaves more space in my bag for shopping), and on my 3 week trip to Europe last year I was just using whatever was in the hotels (sometimes shampoo and body wash in one!) I came back with horrible, dry hair that was all matted together. It was irrecoverable and I had to chop most of it off.

Now, my hair is in tip top condition once more. I alternate between Davines and Kerastase and my hair has never been better. I shampoo twice (only using about a R5 coin size shampoo each time), then condition. After towel drying my hair, I rub through two squirts of Moroccan oil and then style my hair, finishing with either Davines serum or Moroccan Oil finishing spray. I have minimal split ends, and my hair is healthy and glossy. It really is worth spending that little bit extra because I’m sure you’ll all agree that when your hair looks great, you just feel better.

I hate making a special trip to the hair salon or even worse, to Sandton City, to stock up on hair products, which is why I LOVE the concept of We never had an online hair marketplace before so this is just great. You can get your order delivered to your door (free when you spend more than R800), and the site stocks most professional hair products (sadly no Davines though), including GHD, Kerastase, Pureology, Redken and Moroccan Oil. Prices are competitive, and there’s even a consultant available who can answer your hair related questions online.

I received a voucher to try out the site, and I was super impressed. I literally ordered on Wednesday afternoon, and by Thursday midday the courier arrived at my office and I got my perfectly packaged shampoo and conditioner- so easy.
