Win! 2 tickets to “With My Girls”- the perfect Mother’s Day Treat, worth R760!
As my regular readers will know, I lost my dad about 6 months ago, and earlier this year, my mom moved from PE to JHB. I was SO excited to have her close by, and imagined her being my plus 1 to events, plus having her join me to do my nails and my hair and all the girly things I love to do. Well. Things didn’t really go according to plan. I realised quickly that she doesn’t enjoy the same stuff I do. She’s perfectly happy eating toasted sandwiches and tennis biscuits everyday, for example, and doesn’t enjoy eating anything fancy. She gets tired quickly and isn’t able to spend an entire Saturday out and about like she used to. Also, she left all her friends behind in PE and started feeling really lonely. So sadly, she’s most likely moving back to PE soon, but hopefully not before the “With my Girls” conference, which is the PERFECT thing to do with your mom, or your girlfriends. And I have 2 tickets to give away!
So, what exactly is the “With My Girls” event all about?

I would not go myself. Entering so I can send my mum and sister, who is a new mum.

I would take my dear friend C with me, whose husband is indisposed in a way I can’t say here, so she has to fend for herself financially. She is missing him terribly and not sure if she will ever see him again. She is special to me because she is the strongest woman I know and she keeps soldiering on. She certainly needs pampering!

Wow. I’d take my sister in-law, simply because she’s usually my “wing-woman” when I go to events of this sort. It’s been ages since we’ve gotten together, though, either because of schedule conflicts or lack of funds and I feel it’s high time we had a little girls’ day out again! 🙂

I would take my mom.our relationship is hanging by a single thread m looking for ways to help us find a way back to each other

I would take my mum. She’s always been my biggest supporter and really is my best friend. She’s such a blessing in my life and I’d love to treat her to this event.

I would take my sister, my best friend. With 3 kids (one is 6 months old) and being a full time mum she hardly ever has anytime to do anything special for herself or pamper herself so she really deserves a day out for herself where she can feel like a strong, beautiful and independent women again.

Unfortunately I lost my Mom, so need a substitute, no-one better than my daughter, because ironically, she was born on Mother’s Day. Would therefore be a great treat for both of us. Mother’s Day for me, birthday for her…and remembrance if my Mom who is loved, lost….but never forgotten

I would take my friend T with me, she lost her mom and mothers day is always a very lonely day for her since her brother moved. I think some positive company would do her good on the day.

I would take my Mom – she is my hero! Like your Mom, she moved to Johannesburg from Cape Town last year to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She deserves a special treat after surviving cancer…TWICE!

Late last year my cousin and i moved to JHB, me from UAE and her from CT.
Since we have arrived, it has a beem a non stop effort to work and do what we need to do. We both are alone here, without our beloved Mothers. Its not easy being in your own and we wont be able to see our Mothers and spend the day with them. I would like to take her, I reckon we both need a break from this big city life and the rat race we find ourselves. Mu cousin is very special to me, the sister I dont have. She needs a treat, I need a treat. And thats who I would take and why 🙂

I will take my sister-in-law to be. She’s special to my fiance so she’s definitely special to me.
March 28, 2014 @ 7:52 am
I will take my buddy Lindi. I have been taking her for granted lately. I need to make it up. I have already started. We went out last week and it was my treat. This will be really nice.
If I don’t win though, I would like for Kgaugelo should win. I don’t know her but I know how important our relationships with our mothers are. I just felt her pain. I’ve been there but thank God my relationship with my mom is strong now.
Thanks
