QMS Facial at Midori Eco Salon*

A while ago, I had a hair makeover at Midori Eco Salon in Sandton. Read here for that post. Before that, I experienced a QMS facial there, which was amazing.

QMS cosmetics are formulated by an aesthetic surgeon, based on research led, collagen enhancing technology to create a system of skincare which has beauty bloggers raving about it around the world.

It is medical grade skincare which is designed to effectively treat damaged and aging skin on the face and body, returning it to a more youthful and healthy state by increasing collagen levels. The results have been mindblowing.

Check out the below before and after pics after using the QMS Night Repair product for a period of 6 weeks- this is a regenerating night moisturizing serum for extremely sensitive and problematic skin- it helps natural skin regeneration and has healing components too.

Even if you don’t have very problematic skin, everyone can benefit from a QMS facial, and Midori currently has these on special for R350. I experienced a collagen enhancing facial, which I found to be deeply beneficial.

We started off with a deep cleansing, then moved onto a freshening tonic. After those 2, my skin was already feeling clean, soft and fresh.

After that, my skin was exfoliated- allowing subsequently applied products to be penetrated 15% deeper into the skin.

Then, 2 masks were applied. These were applied over my lips and eyes, to nourish the skin. The first mask addresses dry skin, facial expression lines and fine wrinkles, while the second includes collagen to reduce the appearance of tired or stressed skin.

I’m definitely going to book myself in for one of these facials when I return from my next trip. I always feel so miserable when I’m jetlagged, and my eyes especially take strain, they feel dull and droopy. Check out zombie girl below 🙂

Next, a moisturizer was applied, which promises to strengthen the elastic fibres and cell metabolism of the skin, acting as a protective shield against the environment.

Lastly, a product called “neck and more” was applied, an anti aging product to address sensitive skin like the neck and decollete areas which are often neglected.

After the whole process, my skin was left feeling luminous and soft, I even went make up free for the rest of the day, as the final product that was applied had a tint to it which acted like a foundation.

Don’t waste your time with generic facials elsewhere, find a salon close to you that stocks QMS and try it out, you won’t be disappointed.
